Disproportionate burden

At present there are no plans to use the disproportionate burden exemption clause. However, some elements such as video and PDFs are under review and our decision isn't final.

Content that’s not within scope of the accessibility regulations

The site address and search options in Active Places Data Platform include the use of digital maps. Some Geographic Information System (GIS) functions such as drawing lines on a digital map cannot be represented with text equivalent and, therefore, no text equivalent exists for these functions. Similarly, the information and context conveyed to a user by an interactive digital map cannot be adequately represented as a text equivalent.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We have checked all pages from Active Places Power and have created an accessibility roadmap to help us prioritise the features we need to work on next.
